Autumn/Winter Race Weekends - Sunday 23rd November

Fondly known as Becher Chase Day, with two races over the world famous Grand National fences, Sunday 23rd November is the only other meeting in Aintree’s calendar to witness racing over the famous Grand National course. The Grand Sefton Chase and The totesport Becher Chase are now established top class trials for the feature event in April, the renowned John Smith's Grand National. With festive shopping and Christmas fayre off course, Aintree’s Becher Chase Day is also a great family day out to get you in the mood for Christmas. Plus KIDS GO FREE to all of our winter racing weekends.

There is free car parking available at Aintree; this can be reached by the racecourse entrance on Melling Road.

What should I wear?

Although there is no official dress code, smart is preferable and is often adopted. Hats are optional too, but are frequently worn for summer fixtures. Autumn / winter racing typically follows a dress for the elements dress code.
