The Current Going
The current going as of Friday 1st April is:
MILDMAY & HURDLE COURSES - Good
GRAND NATIONAL COURSE - Good
Andrew Tulloch, Aintree’s Clerk of the Course and Director of Racing, reported today: “The going remains good on all courses at Aintree.
“With the current forecast looking very uncertain, we took the decision today to begin watering the Grand National course. This was in order to maintain the current conditions and we will look at watering the Hurdle and Mildmay courses over the weekend. We will continue to monitor the situation closely.
“The forecast is for generally dull conditions with the chance of a shower over the weekend and into the early part of next week, with conditions predicted to become drier and warmer from Wednesday onwards.”
