StrawBery Fields Forever
In keeping with this year’s Liverpool Day launch, a special Liverpool Day cocktail has been created by a team of mixologists at Liverpool’s exciting new Manhattan style restaurant and bar, The Noble House.
The “Strawberry Fields” cocktail includes Pinky Vodka, Blackberry and Wild Strawberry Liqueur and Prosecco and will be served throughout Liverpool Day, with all proceeds being donated to The Injured Jockeys Fund.
Alex Hannah, director of bar operations at The Noble House, said: “The John Smith’s Grand National is one of the most iconic events on the calendar. When the guys from Aintree Racecourse asked us to develop a cocktail which celebrated Liverpool we wanted to create a mix which gave a flavour of the city.
“We chose strawberries as the base because of the famous song by The Beatles’ Strawberry Fields Forever, which the cocktail is named after.
Across the other side of the city, The Noble House’s sister venue, Alma de Cuba is also getting back in the saddle by hosting the Official John Smith’s Grand National winner’s party for the third year running. It will be serving the new mix to winning jockeys, trainers, owners and celebrity fans.
Tickets are now available from £20 and include a complimentary winners’ cocktail on arrival and live music in the main bar. And for those who like to splash the winning cash, VIP and corporate packages are also available. Tickets be purchase be contacting Alma de Cuba directly on 0151 702 7394 or email zoe@alma-de-cuba.co.uk.
