02.05.12 - RACING AT AINTREE

Ladies' Night at Aintree is The Real Thing

Following the success of this years’ John Smith’s Grand National meeting, Aintree Racecourse will once again open its doors for an evening of racing and music, with Ladies’ Night on Friday 18th May.

Along side headlining act The Real Thing, the night will boast a silent disco in the Winner’s Bar, competitions for the most stylish race-goer and the best fancy dress attire, plus make overs from Benefit.

Featuring some of their 70’s and 80’s hits, which include ‘You to me are everything’, ‘Can’t get by without you’ and ‘Can you feel the force’, The Real Thing will perform in Aintree’s iconic Red Rum Garden following the final race of the night.

Commenting on the line-up, Emma Owen, marketing & PR manager for Aintree Racecourse said: “Liverpool is a party city an there’s no better place to celebrate Ladies’ Night than with a Party in the Paddock.  We’re so excited to have The Real Thing play following racing and can’t wait to hear the DJ’s requests in the silent disco! The evening promises to be the highlight of the spring calendar.”

This evening is just one of two spring race meetings staged at the famous racecourse, which only races 8 days a year, three of which are the John Smith’s Grand National.  The second and final race meeting of the summer season is on Friday 15th June.

Tickets cost £20 if purchased in advance* or dine in the course facing restaurants from £57.  The over 21's Platinum County Lounge is open on the evening at £28 in advance.
