12.04.12 - THE GRAND NATIONAL

Happy Birthday, deep purple

Racehorses all have an official birthday on January 1, but they have actual birthdays as well. Do you share yours  with Deep Purple - who turns nine on Saturday, the day he runs in the John Smith’s Grand National - or any other of the big-race runners? The youngest horse in the race will be Organisedconfusion, foaled on May 9, 2005, and the oldest Hello Bud, foaled on April 28, 1998.
