04.04.08 - THE GRAND NATIONAL, RACING AT AINTREE
GROUND UNCHANGED AT THE END OF DAY TWO
The going will remain unchanged at the end of day two of the 2008 John Smith’s Grand National meeting.
Ground conditions remain:
GOOD - on the Mildmay & Hurdle courses
GOOD TO SOFT, GOOD IN PLACES - on the Grand National course
Andrew Tulloch, Clerk of the Course and Director of Racing at Aintree, commented: "We will be leaving the going unchanged overnight.
"All the bends and the running line will be moved three to four yards in on to un-raced ground on the hurdle course, and we will move in the home bend at the Grand National start. The two bottom bends on the Mildmay course will also be moved to provide fresh ground.
"The forecast is for some light rain early this evening and possible drizzle tomorrow morning."
