John Smith's Grand National tickets go on sale on Monday

The countdown to the 2009 John Smith’s Grand National officially begins on Monday, 18th August, when all tickets and grandstand badges for the prestigious 2009 race meeting will be available to purchase from 8am by calling the new ticket line on 0844 579 3001 and by buying online at www.aintree.co.uk

To make the sales process easier and quicker for customers, Aintree has introduced new booking methods for 2009, including making all tickets and badges available to purchase online at aintree.co.uk for the first time and also by calling a new 24-hour ticket line on 0844 579 3001 from 8am on Monday, 18th August.  Postal booking forms will also be accepted, and are available to download now from aintree.co.uk.

Hospitality and Season Tickets are already on-sale, and have been available to purchase from Monday, 4th August as part of Aintree’s new phased booking process.  Racegoers wishing to purchase tickets in person can do so from Monday, 1st September by visiting the racecourse box office.  Hospitality enquiries should be directed to the usual number, 0151 522 2911.

Looking ahead to the build-up for the 2009 event, Aintree’s Marketing and PR Manager, Emma Owen, commented, ‘Each year we are constantly reminded of the demand for tickets and hospitality packages for three-day meeting and we advise racegoers to take advantage of the new booking system we have in place this year, including the convenience of online booking.  We know that many racegoers are always eager to secure their preferred choice as soon as tickets go on-sale and by staggering on-sale dates, introducing a 24/7 ticket line and making all tickets and grandstand badges available to purchase online, we have hopefully made it easier and quicker for people to obtain their desired ticket choice.’
