21.04.08 - THE GRAND NATIONAL, RACING AT AINTREE
Fabulous Friday Nights bound for Aintree Racecourse
Following on the back of a successful John Smith’s Grand National meeting just two weeks ago, Aintree Racecourse is yet again preparing to open its gates for its summer race season which it is billing ‘Fabulous Friday Nights’. The opening night of the series on Friday 9th May will feature music in the Aintree Pavilion after racing with ‘The Stars from The Commitments’, with ‘McFly’ taking to the stage on Friday 16th May and ‘Madness’ closing the series of racing and live music evenings on Friday 13th June.
Extending on the success of the music and racing offering seen in past summer race meetings at Aintree, Aintree Racecourse is delighted to have extended its fixture list to be able to appeal and attract its many social racegoers. Aintree’s new summer series of race evenings offers an alternative Friday night out.
To complement racing and top music acts taking to the stage at Aintree, the final night of the summer series (Friday 13th June) will have something for the ladies with another edition of Aintree’s famous style competition, ‘Fashion Filly’ being staged on the night. Racegoers attending the meeting on this evening will have a chance to enter the competition, and be in with a chance of winning a 7-night all inclusive Almond Resorts Caribbean holiday for two. Racegoers will also have the chance to look around Aintree’s Pamper Zone, located within the Old Weighing Room bar.
Tickets for this event are now available from the racecourse booking office and online at aintree.co.uk. Advanced booking rates, start from just £16 for adults for a limited period for all three nights. Full price tickets for The Stars from The Commitments cost £19, with full price tickets for McFly and Madness at £21. Tickets allow access to all public areas, including all grandstands, as well as the viewing of the new parade ring and winner’s enclosure. Children tickets for children aged 6-16 (accompanied by an adult) cost £12. To make a booking, telephone 0151 522 2929.
