Crowd figure up again on second day

Today's crowd came to 53,146, an increase of 224 over the 52,922 seen last year. Tattersalls Enclosure sold out.
 
The record for a Friday crowd was 53,860 in 2005.
 
Yesterday's crowd was also up on the 2007 level, being a new record at 27,608, up from 27,060 in 2007.
 
Aintree is expecting a good crowd tomorrow, with advance booking at a healthy level.
