Countdown to City's Famous Race Festival Starts as Tickets Go On Sale
Aintree Racecourse today unveiled its ticket and hospitality packages for the 2011 John Smith’s Grand National meeting online at aintree.co.uk ahead of going on sale for the prestigious three-day race meeting from Tuesday 3rd August.
Season Tickets, three-day badges and hospitality packages will be the first to go on sale from 9am on Tuesday 3rd August. Season Tickets give racegoers a priority chance to secure grandstand badges for all three-days of the Grand National meeting in addition to providing admission to 6 additional racedays at Aintree in 2011 for just £60. These can be purchased by calling 0844 579 3001. Hospitality is available to purchase by calling 0151 522 2911. All tickets and badges will go on general sale via the internet from Monday 16th August from 9am.
Over 150,000 racegoers attended the three-day meeting in 2010, celebrating one of the most successful Grand Nationals of recent times. The famous race festival will return to the Liverpool course from Thursday 7th to Saturday 9th April 2011, and promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
With the inception of Liverpool Day, each day of the festival has a special and unique feel. Ladies’ Day, the middle day of the festival is Liverpool’s biggest day out and culminating in John Smith’s Grand National day itself, an event that brings the Nation to a standstill.
Approaching the countdown to the 2011 meeting, Managing Director of Aintree Racecourse, Julian Thick, commented, ‘It is a very exciting time at the racecourse as we prepare to go one sale for what will be the biggest three days in the social calendar in 2011. As experienced in previous years, we expect all packages to be in great demand and therefore continue to advise customers to purchase from the racecourse as early as possible to avoid disappointment and to avoid the inevitable VAT rise in January.’
