BBC to broadcast 2010 Becher Chase from Aintree

The BBC confirmed today that it will broadcast live TV coverage of three races from Aintree’s Becher Chase Day meeting on Sunday November 21.

Clare Balding will be joined by Rishi Persad, Mick Fitzgerald and Jim McGrath.

Coverage will feature three races from Aintree; the Grand Sefton Handicap Steeplechase at12.35; the Handicap Hurdle at 13.10; and the Becher Chase at 13.45.

Becher Chase is the only time outside of the Grand National meeting when races take place over the famous course and is regarded as an established Grand National trial.  Horses have gone on from the Becher Chase to win the Grand National, including Silver Birch and Amberleigh House.
