Alexandra Burke to headline Ladies' Night at Aintree
Aintree Racecourse today confirmed that Alexandra Burke will complete the artist line up for the racecourse’s racing and music nights, headlining Ladies’ Night on Friday 14th May, the second night in Aintree’s spring racing and music series.
Sales of Alexandra’s first single. "Hallelujah", made her the first British female soloist to sell 1 million copies of a single in the UK. Her last single, Bad Boys featuring Flo Rida, is a platinum selling single. Alexandra will perform a thirty minute set after racing, including exclusive tracks from her new album.
The announcement of Alexandra completes Aintree’s entertainment line up for its summer evening race meetings. The opening night of the series on Friday 7th May will be the racecourse’s second Irish music night, with Irish Rock Legends Aslan playing a full set after racing. The internationally acclaimed Björn Again will close the series at the famous Liverpool course for its only June evening racing fixture on Friday 11th June.
Tickets for all evenings in the summer series are now available to purchase online at aintree.co.uk or in person from the racecourse, or by telephone on 0844 579 3001, with tickets for all three nights costing just £16 if purchased up to 48 hours before the event (tickets purchased after this time or on the night itself will cost £19). Tickets allow access to all public areas, as well as the viewing of the parade ring and winner’s enclosure. Child tickets for children aged 10-16 (accompanied by an adult) cost £12, children aged under 10 go free.
New for 2010, County Platinum Lounge Tickets will be available to purchase for the Summer Series. These tickets cost £25 and include access to the exclusive Platinum County Lounge with County Grandstand seats, a complimentary racecard and vouchers for discounted house champagne. This area will be exclusive to Platinum County Lounge ticket holders, and is for over 21s only.
Great deals on hospitality are also available from £83, call 0151 522 2911 for further details. For full details all of the race evenings are available by visiting www.aintree.co.uk
In the meantime, the Racecourse is preparing to open its gates for the John Smith’s Grand National meeting, which opens in just under two weeks time from Thursday 8th April to Saturday 10th April.
