2013 John Smith's Grand National Pricing Released

Tickets and hospitality package prices for the 2013 John Smith’s Grand National are now available to view online at www.aintree.co.uk ahead of the first on-sale date for the showcase event next April.

From 9am on Wednesday, August 1, customers will be able to reserve hospitality packages and 2 and 3-Day Grandstand badges ahead of general sale on Wednesday, August 15, when all tickets will be available to purchase online at www.aintree.co.uk. Telephone purchases of tickets will be possible from Thursday, August 16.

The John Smith’s Grand National is the most eagerly anticipated event in the spring calendar and many Grandstand and seated tickets for the event sell out within 24 hours of going on-sale with many keen to experience the award winning three-day event.

This year’s John Smith’s Grand National witnessed record attendances with over 154,000 racegoers visiting Aintree for the three day meeting.  Grand National Day itself sold out 6 weeks prior to the event and Liverpool Day, the opening day of the meeting, broke through the 30,000 attendance barrier for the first time.  On track, racegoers witnessed a thrilling Grand National, with grey, Neptune Collonges beating Sunnyhill Boy to mark the first ever photo finish in the race.  Neptune Collonges became only the third grey to have won the race since Nicholas Silver in 1961.

Commenting the day before on-sale, Emma Owen, Marketing & PR Manager for Aintree Racecourse said: “The Countdown has officially started to the 2013 John Smith’s Grand National and after another record-breaking event this year, we’re sure many racegoers will be keen to secure their ticket for the highlight event of the spring. It has been weeks in planning and now all of our packages are on-sale; the team will be working hard to deliver all of the components which will make the 2013 event even bigger and better.”

The racecourse next races in on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th October.
